Emotional Freedom Techniques

lady EFT tapping

What is EFT?

EFT/Tapping is similar to acupuncture, but instead of using needles, pressure points are gently tapped on whilst focusing on the distressing issue. EFT can release emotions and self-limiting beliefs that are connected to past experiences.

As per research, EFT makes the nervous system relax and reduce the release of the stress hormone, cortisol. It helps you to make sense of and release difficult feelings that might be holding you back from living your fullest life.

If you'd like to know more about the research on EFT Therapy, please see the link below for further information:

  • Anxiety and overwhelm

Man EFT Tapping

What will happen in your EFT session?

In your EFT session we will have an initial conversation where we identify what you would like to work on.

Then you will be asked to tune into your body to notice how you feel about the particular issue and give it a score between 0-10.

The next step will be to talk whilst we tap on our meridian points on the face and torso. The aim is to reduce the emotional intensity or physical pain to 0.

After tapping a few rounds you will be asked what your new score for the feeling is and this allows us to measure the effectiveness of the tapping.

Past clients have reported feeling lighter,  more positive and calmer after their sessions.
