I am passionate about supporting adults with anxiety and trauma, especially when this has a negative impact on how they relate to themselves and their loved ones.
I have experienced how isolating and debilitating this can be.

I am passionate about supporting adults with anxiety and trauma, especially when this has a negative impact on how they relate to themselves and their loved ones.
I have experienced how isolating and debilitating this can be.
People can say things like 'just be positive' or 'try a bit harder', but they don't understand that it's not that simple.
I get it. It's not something you can easily change.
Feeling anxious can be overwhelming, leaving you on edge or constantly worried. Counselling gives you a safe space to explore what’s happening for you and find ways to feel calmer and more in control.
Past experiences can leave lasting effects on how you feel and relate to others.
Through trauma-informed counselling, I provide a supportive space where you can gain a better understanding of the impacts of trauma, how to manage these symptoms and , if wanted, process these past experiences.
Together, we can work towards a greater sense of peace and wellbeing.
Our relationships shape so much of our lives, yet old patterns can make them difficult at times.Through counselling, you can explore your own needs, understand how you relate to others, and find more fulfilling ways to connect.
I welcome people from all walks of life. Over the years, I’ve worked with clients from many different backgrounds and experiences, including those who are neurodivergent, part of the LGBTQIA+ community or have faced racism.
No matter your background or life experience, you will be met with respect, understanding, and acceptance here.
*Encourage you to show up as a human being. That means it's absolutely okay to be messy, to not have it all together and swear if that feels right to you. There is no need to filter or perform in this space.
*Believe in us working together.
*Offer mind and body based strategies.
*Believe in helping you find your own answers.
*Offer face-to-face and online counselling.
X Tell you what to do.
X Think I am the expert and know better than you.
X(Other than the first session) I don't take notes when you are speaking to me.
X Make you talk about or do anything you don't want to.
X Believe in 'fixing people'.
The first session takes 60 minutes and acts as an extension of our initial phone consultation.
During the session I will go through a counselling agreement with you and give you the time to tell me more about what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to gain from it.
It will also give you an opportunity to meet me and ask me any questions you might have.
This will help you to decide if we are a good match and if you feel comfortable to continue working with me.
From there, we can agree to work together in an open-ended way or within an agreed timeframe.
Your role in therapy is simply to show up and share whatever feels right for you. My role is to listen, offer support and validation, and occasionally reflect on what you’re experiencing to help bring clarity or insight.
Sometimes during our sessions, I may share bits of information or insights (called psychoeducation) if I feel it might support your journey or help something make more sense.
I can also offer strategies and coping skills if this is requested.
