Anxiety often shows up when our mind senses danger, even if we’re not actually at risk. The body’s alarm system switches on, releasing stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol. This is known as the “fight or flight” response, the body’s natural way of preparing to protect us from a perceived threat.
When you live with anxiety, it can feel like your mind and body are always switched on. You might find yourself constantly on the go, unable to rest, with thoughts racing and looping late into the night.
Sleep can feel out of reach, relaxation impossible, and even simple decisions can become overwhelming.
Anxiety often shows up as overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or carrying a sense of unease that never quite lifts. It can leave you feeling tense, restless, and exhausted—like you’re running on empty but can’t slow down.
